एक्टर गौरव एम शर्मा टीवी के पॉपुलर शोज अनुपमा और ये रिश्ता क्या कहलाता है का हिस्सा रह चुके हैं। उन्होंने टेलीविजन के साथ-साथ फिल्मों और डिजिटल प्रोजेक्ट्स में भी काम किया है। फिलहाल वह सेहर होने को है में नजर आ रहे हैं, जहां वह एक और दिलचस्प किरदार निभा रहे हैं। सोशल मीडिया और रियलिटी टेलीविजन के बढ़ते प्रभाव के बीच गौरव ने फेम, स्टारडम और एक एक्टर की कला को लेकर अपने विचार साझा किए।
रियलिटी शोज की बढ़ती लोकप्रियता और दर्शकों के उनमें समय लगाने की वजह पर बात करते हुए गौरव कहते हैं, “People are mostly on their phones all the time and most of them watch reels. Reality shows are publicised hugely in reels and they hook the audience in no time and lead them to the actual shows. And as much as we deny it, we all love controversies and fights. Since reality shows are full of them, they grab attention very quickly.”
गौरव का मानना है कि आने वाले समय में रियलिटी शोज OTT का और भी बड़ा हिस्सा बन सकते हैं। वह कहते हैं, “I think the way people are bypassing web series and web films with time, reality shows are really going to take over all OTT content.”
क्या रियलिटी टीवी फेम पाने का शॉर्टकट बन गया है?
रियलिटी टीवी को फेम हासिल करने का आसान रास्ता माने जाने की बात पर गौरव सहमत नजर आते हैं। वह कहते हैं, “True, it is indeed the easiest way to get fame these days. I see all the contestants trying to become the centre of attention in reality shows because that is the only way to survive and win. And as we all know, all is fair in a war.”
गौरव का मानना है कि एक्टर और स्टार होने के बीच अंतर आज भी है, लेकिन स्टारडम का मतलब बदल गया है। वह कहते हैं, “Yes, but the reality today is that the industry is hardly producing any stars anymore. Stardom has become very subjective. Gone are the days when people had stardom for years. Now one day you are a star and, thanks to social media, the next day someone does something controversial and suddenly he or she gets all the limelight.”
गौरव बोले- एक्टिंग का कोई विकल्प नहीं
गौरव के मुताबिक लोकप्रियता कभी अच्छी एक्टिंग की जगह नहीं ले सकती। वह कहते हैं, “But an actor is an actor. Craft never fails, a good actor still gets the respect he or she deserves. Controversies, overnight fame or a reality show cannot make you an actor.”
बॉलीवुड एक्टर्स के आसपास पहले रहने वाले स्टारडम और रहस्य को लेकर गौरव का मानना है कि सोशल मीडिया ने पूरी स्थिति बदल दी है। वह कहते हैं, “I think there is a race, and the only one who can win is the one who doesn’t take part in this social media race.”
वह आगे कहते हैं, “The one who does good work and promotes it in a healthy way need not be on social media. The work will spread automatically, and he or she and the project will get the due.”
टेलीविजन और दूसरे माध्यमों में काम करने के अनुभव के साथ गौरव का मानना है कि ट्रेंड्स और प्लेटफॉर्म बदलते रहेंगे, लेकिन अच्छा काम और एक कलाकार की कला हमेशा मायने रखेगी। अनुपमा और ये रिश्ता क्या कहलाता है जैसे शोज से लेकर उनके मौजूदा प्रोजेक्ट सेहर होने को है तक का उनका सफर अलग-अलग किरदारों और माध्यमों को एक्सप्लोर करने पर उनके फोकस को दिखाता है।
